Singing tuition in Cambridge
A little about me
My name is Stephen and I am trained as a musician, initially as an oboist and violinist, then as a singer and also a conductor. I have directed several operas, with the Cambridge University Opera Society. I have studied voice with many teachers over the years, Nigel Wickens, John Upperton, Katharina Megli, Simon Gfeller and Adhley Stafford. Putting these together, I know the Operatic and Lieder repertoire from both sides of the stage, and have an excellent knowledge of the main vocal languages of French, German and Italian.
I also sing with local musicians including the September Quartet. In my personal life, I am a vegan cook, with an interest in meditation,
philosophy, consciousness and psychology. Having studied in St Petersburg, I speak Russian fluently.
If music is your passion, I am here to develop it and I strongly believe that everyone can learn music. This is a great place to learn the music you love, meet new people and perform amazing music. No matter your age, level, or taste in music, my music lessons are fun and will have you joining in with fellow musicians in no time.
